And to continue a camp experience when our campers “graduate”, PFDC provides two diverse choices for the teen population in the Jr. Leader and Jr. Wrangler programs. Our junior wranglers and junior leaders are allowed to be dropped off as early as 8am or if they are arriving with a sibling camper they may arrive at the regular camper drop off hours.

Pompositticut Farm Day Camp furnishes a highly professional staff and small camper groups so your children are sure to experience a summer of a lifetime!

As a parent, I believe the camp is run with great attention

“My children (Nicole - 12 and Thomas - 10) have both been attending Pompositticut Summer Camp for 5 years. They both enjoy taking part in the many different activities including horseback riding, Project Soar (multi-vine, super zipline). Thomas particularly likes all the sports choices such as archery, tennis baseball, kickball, and deck hockey. Nicole particularly enjoyed helping to create the garden this year. Both enjoy free swim and campfire day, roasting marsh-mallows and hot dogs. TDM also adds a great opportunity for fun and confidence building in a public setting.

As a parent, I believe the camp is run with great attention paid to detail in areas such as diversity in campers, different activities to keep the children stimulated, health and safety as well. The potential opportunity to take part in a Junior Leader position is also a great aspect in the camp giving older campers a chance to enhance leadership skills. Parent requisition and issues are always handled with great care and without delay.”

Everyone was so positive, friendly and helpful

“We cannot say enough glowing things about the staff specifically, and the experience in general. Everyone was so positive, friendly and helpful. The girls had a wonderful time and I know it will stick with them (as they dared themselves to try the 875ft zipline). I told the girls at the time to keep the experience in their ‘back pockets’ for times when they think they cannot do something and remember they climbed a wiggly rope ladder, crossed a very wiggly bridge & jumped off a very high platform, zipped and jumped again! They can do ANYTHING they put their mind to now!”

I am totally impressed

“Every time I get to interact with staff, I am totally impressed. . .they are so warm and welcoming. I’m sure you are very proud of all those fine young men and women who represent the camp so beautifully every day.

I know I’ve said it a couple times but I can’t help but say it again—the camp is a very special place and Hugh had a magical summer.  I am already a bit sad that the end of camp is drawing near but I celebrate what a great experience it is for Hugh to be there for 8 weeks for the second summer. He talks about becoming a Jr. Leader and a staff member all the time. We feel very lucky . . . and grateful for this experience for our family.”
