Jackie Kane

Founder/Camp Director

Little did Jackie know that what began in 1980 as a summer babysitting job would transpire into a full time career! As a BC graduate this young entrepreneur and founder of Pompositticut Farm Day Camp, has also been the active, hands-on director from the start. This consistency of leadership has been the backbone of the camp’s success. With each passing year Jackie has anticipated trends in the camping industry and has often been an innovator in offering new and exciting activities to the camp’s already solid roster.   This is exemplified in PFDC being the only camp to offer English Horseback riding on camp property as part of the daily curriculum at no extra charge. Jackie’s lifelong love of horses has progressed into competitive carriage driving where she has contributed her enhanced skills as an exclusive part of the camp’s curriculum. Jackie continues to stay abreast of pertinent camp related topics through educational conferences and as an active Board member of the Massachusetts Camping Association.
